There is no need to sign up to look at events, it's only if you want to create
venues and events that you need to sign up.
There is an extra step that an Admin needs to approve the sign up
(the bots are clever enough to sign up now).
I also should clarify that the pictures you see in this
how-to are just that, pictures to illustrate what you
can expect to see.
At the bottom of the main menu there is "Create an account", click that.
The information you need to put in is minimal as I don't want any personal information stored or processed by the site
The Name is what you will be called on the website and in emails from the website.
The Username is what you will use to log in with (they can be the same).
The Password is hopefully obvious as is password confirmation
The email address is important as your account will not be activated until you have clicked the confirmation in the email that will be sent to that address.
Click the Register button.

In case you are wondering the "Web Authentication" allows people to use phones/tablets etc to login with with fingerprint /face ID,
its implementation hasn't been checked yet so treat it with caution.
